Hushhh is built around silence and privacy. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Account details: your email address (or phone number), used to send a one-time sign-in code. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email; we only use your name to show your first initial.
City: a city-level label, shown to your session partner and on your constellation map. We never collect your precise location.
Session activity: when a session happened, how long it lasted, the feeling you picked, and the hearts you sent and received.
Whisper voice notes: only if you record one. They are stored privately and shared only when you choose to send them.
Live camera video: streamed in real time to your session partner through our video provider. We do not record or store session video. Your microphone is never turned on during a session, and no audio is sent.
No ads. No selling or renting of your data. No advertising trackers, and no analytics in the Android app.
In the Android app, screenshots and screen recording are blocked during sessions. A web browser cannot enforce that, so on hushhh.me you are trusting the person across from you, as they are trusting you. Nothing is recorded by us either way.
No marketing emails. We send your sign-in codes, and one welcome note from our founder after you first sign in. That’s it.
Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), LiveKit (real-time video relay), Amazon Web Services (website hosting and emails via Amazon SES), and on the website only Microsoft (Clarity analytics) and Google (Tag Manager). They process data only to provide the service.
On the hushhh.me website only (not the Android app), we use Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how pages are used: page views, clicks and scrolling. It helps us fix confusing screens. Session screens, live video, and email and phone fields are masked and never recorded. Clarity uses cookies; you can block them in your browser without losing anything.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account, or at hushhh.me/delete-account. We delete your profile, session history, hearts and whispers within 30 days; backups are purged within a further 30 days.
If someone reports you, we keep the report and the session details (never video) so we can review it.
Hushhh is for people aged 18 and over.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, under laws including India’s DPDP Act 2023, the GDPR, UK GDPR and the CCPA. Contact privacy@hushhh.me.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will tell you in the app.
